The Sandpiper

 Two words: Pictures, FINALLY!
:-) Enough said.
If you click on a picture, you can go through them all slightly bigger and with the arrow keys. You'll miss the captions, but.. that won't be missing much.

Found this guy walking our baby across the street...

Enjoying the Starbucks in Aberdeen-- Tradition, you know. Also traditional is that The Papa buys... ;-) For the record, I did not have an espresso drink...
Abigail glimpsing the ocean with uncle Clark!

 Playing "That train game, Emi!"

 The historic squirrel....
Also historic-- the giant tires. Many's the rainy day I've spent...

Why am I holding the side of my face, as if in pain, you may ask? Well, see the large stick that Gabriel is holding? Enough said.

 One of my favorites.

Baby feet!

These three pictures are the best. Abigail and I have a lot in common, coordination-wise. Or lack thereof... Look at it again a second time, watching the blissfully unaware Gabriel.

So I took a million pictures.

My favorite of the birds-- the stormy sea and such.

Why get just root beer, if you have a second pocket for vanilla cream?
She had no shoes! Her handsome prince rescued her from the gravel...

 Baby face.
Papa flies a kite every year.

 Early morning walks.
They'll kill me for putting up this picture. Good thing I'm not in it! ;-)

Nate picked the berries, mom made it into a lovely preserve, rachel made the scones, while gabriel, clark, and I whipped the cream. Definitely a group effort.

 Bathing Beauties.

After this shot, I had to take the camera inside for the rest of the day-- it was windy and I discovered that grains of sand get EVERYWHERE! including inside my lens...
 Pro with the ipad.

 The night of The Fire.
We spent all day gathering-- in fact, this was the first year we came late enough to be allowed to drive the truck on the beach. Got stuck three times-- only one of which I was responsible for. ;-)

Walking along while the guys get the fire going.
Ah, the beach, and the lights of... Taholah?
 Start small....
Playing with glowsticks. From the walmart in Aberdeen, of course.

We are a fireman's kids. Of course we're going to see how well lightsticks burn. Turns out pretty cool... They get really bright! No, this is not the only one we tossed to the fire.
 The flames get higher...
Then it got very tall and very hot-- had to move about 12 feet away to not get overheated and burned.
 Super fast shutter speed.
And way slower shutter speed. The fire was around 7 feet high in this picture.
Wide angle lens on the last morning. That rock takes around an hour or so to speed walk to.

 "Hey emeeee, me have ride?"
Luggage all packed up, getting ready for the family pictures.
We have a picture of my grandparents in this same spot with the 4 of us, so of course we had to do the same thing with mom and papa and their grandkids.

The whole crew. Another fabulous trip.
 Silly faces?

Yes, I have 800 more pictures. If you really want to see them that badly, come over and I'll show you. :-)

After the first few pictures I saw on your blog, I could tell your mom is very photogenic. You said to leave a comment, so there it is! : ) No creeping because I said something now.
